Satellite Broadband Service

Introduction

Our two-way broadband satellite communications system allows you to access the Internet from virtually anywhere in Asia, from remote places without proper infrastructure to densely populated areas where existing infrastructure is stretched to the limit. Within our coverage areas, electricity is the only requirement for broadband Internet access!

We offer two kinds of broadband satellite communications systems:

1. C-Band Satellite Service

Our C-Band satellite service connects to the Internet at speeds of up to 2.0Mbps. This technology is recommended for high availability and mission-critical applications where maintaining high uptime is a requirement. This technology utilizes a 1.8m satellite dish and works regardless of weather conditions.

We offer the following bandwidth packages for our C-Band satellite service (downlink/uplink):

• 512K/128K
• 1024K/256K
• 1024K/512K
• 1536K/512K
• 2048K/512K

Geographical coverage includes most of Asia.

2. Ku-Band Satellite Service

Our Ku-Band satellite service connects to the Internet at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps. This technology is a lower cost option, utilizes a 1m satellite dish, and is susceptible to adverse weather conditions, e.g., monsoon rains or extreme cloud cover. As such, it is more suited to more casual sites.

We offer the following bandwidth packages for our Ku-Band satellite service (downlink/uplink):

• 512K/128K
• 1024K/128K
• 1536K/128K

Geographical coverage includes most of South East Asia and parts of Southern China.
